PSH is very experienced in the poultry industry, regularly carrying out complete new installations, maintenance, modifications and additions to existing poultry units.

Modern poultry units are packed with technology, with dimmable lighting, speed controlled motors, different types of sensors, computer controlled ventilation and production. For this reason it is important that the correct types of cable are used and the equipment is installed correctly, so it is vital not to underestimate the importance of experienced electricians.

PSH has installed numerous new poultry units all over the UK, and regularly maintain poultry units in the surrounding area and across the UK.

We work closely with our customers from start to finish ensuring the new units are functioning to their full potential and completed to the customers expectations.

All our installations are to the highest standards to meet the latest electrical regulations and the tough environment of a poultry unit.

PSH is an independent company but with a good working relationship with suppliers of poultry equipment.

Due to our experience and high quality workmanship, we work closely with Big Dutchman whilst still remaining an independent electrical company. This allows us to provide a service second to non for our customers and UK technical support for Big Dutchman.

PSH is involved in ongoing training with Big Dutchman equipment to ensure there is a high level of knowledge and support in the UK, most recently completing advanced training of AMACS, Big Dutchmans latest computer controlled solution for the poultry industry.

Examples of types of equipment and control in poultry units; 

Lighting – dimming and sequences – particularly important in multi tier.

The lighting is installed to replicate the natural sunrise and sunset and sequenced to encourage the birds to migrate up the system to nest in free range.  All this is achieved with dimmable lighting and various types of lights connected up to operate in a sequence suitable

Ventilation Fans and Vents

Feeding – Time Clocks, Weigh Cells, Feed Consumption Monitoring

Egg Collection – Speed controlled egg belts to control the flow of eggs, time controlled nest boxes to allow the birds to lay

Alarms & Monitoring autodialers

From simple sounder and light to land line and GSM autodialers.
